If you meet any one of the following criteria you will be eligible for OHIP funded physiotherapy services. Please ensure you provide us with a physician referral (including their OHIP billing number) in order to access these services.

Massage Therapy is an intervention involving a range of techniques to manipulate the soft tissues and joints of the body. The purpose of massage therapy is to prevent, develop, maintain and relieve pain, stress, muscular overuse and many chronic pain syndromes. Massage Therapy services are not covered by OHIP. However, most extended health insurance policies cover this service.

On your initial visit, please bring your physician referral (if you have one) along with any other documentation (investigative medical tests) related to the reason you are coming in for treatment. Please also ensure you wear comfortable clothing in order to properly assess and/or treat the area in question.

If you have been involved in a motor vehicle collision you can have a physiotherapy assessment immediately and complete all the preliminary motor vehicle insurance documentation. These documents along with the proposed treatment plan are sent to your insurance company for approval. Once approved, treatment can begin.

An elevator or stairwell can be used to access the second floor. The elevators are located on the main level next to CIBC.

Bayview Rehabilitation does not provide physiotherapy services for patients with WSIB claims at the moment.

All of our services are provided by registered health care professionals who are licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario. As such, our services are covered by extended health care plans that offer physiotherapy and massage therapy benefits.

At this time we do not bill extended health care insurance companies directly. You are required to pay for services directly. You will receive an official receipt which will include the license number of the health care provider who provided you with that service to collect your reimbursement.

Treatment for temporomandibular (jaw) disorders and facial pain involve a myriad of techniques involving mobilization, soft tissue release, acupuncture, electrotherapeutic modalities combined with specific exercises.

At Bayview Rehabilitation, our physiotherapists are Certified in the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of conditions involving the neck and low back. The method involves diagnosing and treating low back pain through specific movements based on your response to those movements. The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care runs the ADP program to help those who have long-term physical disabilities get the needed mobility aids they require. In most cases, ADP covers 75% of the cost of an approved device. For more information on the ADP program please click here

Many health care insurance providers cover all costs or a portion of the cost of physiotherapy care. Some extended health insurance plans may require a physician’s referral in order to reimburse you for the service. Call your health insurance provider to confirm your level of coverage before you book your assessment so you are aware if you will require a physician referral for reimbursement.
